The Health, Brain, and Cognition Lab is seeking aComputational Research Assistant/Developer to support ongoing health sciences and neuroscience research projects. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate interested in gaining hands-on experience working with real multimodal research data and research software systems. This role is best suited fordriven,self-motivated individuals who want to build real systems used in active research. It is not a good fit for someone seeking passive or low-effort involvement. The work is highly technical and focuses on building and maintaining the infrastructure that supports large-scale research workflows. Overview You will contribute to data management, quality assurance, and analysis across multiple research projects involving: - Accelerometer data - Heart rate data - Cognitive and behavioral assessments - Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI/fMRI) Logistics Location: Hybrid (in-person work is encouraged) Time Commitment: 20 hours/week Compensation: Hourly rate commensurate with education and experience. Technical Scope You may work on: - Data engineering pipelines - Research automation and DevOps tooling - Visualization and reporting systems - Full-stack internal research tools Tech Stack Includes: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Bash, Git, GitHub Action (CI/CD), Docker, Linux, and HPC environments.
