Job Description: The QC scientist II performs the analysis on allergenic and client components, raw materials, intermediates, and finished products following written procedures, providing the data required to determine raw material/product dispositions. The responsibilities may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics.   • Analyze raw materials, in-process, stability and final container products according to established procedures and as directed by the supervisor.
  • Record and review data in accordance with GxP to meet regulatory requirements and provide information relevant to product disposition.
  • Perform studies to assess product or procedural problems under the direction of the Supervisor.
  • Assist in other forms of troubleshooting/investigations as directed.
  • Prepare reports and assist with document revisions as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Maintain training compliance on all procedures.
  • Adhere to all aspects of plant safety programs and in keeping with GMP's or other regulations.
  • Maintain and operate laboratory equipment in accordance with procedure.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in core analytical assays.
  • Participate in direct internal and/or external client interactions.
  • Perform special assignments as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology or related hard science OR, Bachelor degree in hard sciences with 3 years of solid lab experience Required
  • 1-year lab experience required with BS degree required.
  • 3 years' lab experience required with BA degree required.
  • Pharmaceutical experience preferred
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Manual Dexterity
  • Knowledge, practical application, and understanding of the sciences are necessary to perform the functions of this position.
  • Must have an ability to utilize scientific literature, and to make effective written and oral reports that are clear, accurate, and logical.
  • Knowledge of chemistry, statistics, computer-assisted data processing, and good manufacturing practices is required.
  • Must demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn.
  • Must be self-motivated with good communication and human relation skills and must be able to effectively schedule, prioritize, and organize their time.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work in a team setting supporting project teams as a Quality Unit Representative.
  • Accountability - freedom to act independently - is subject to practices/well defined policy, management reviews results after the fact
  • Accountability - influence on end results - provides analysis, diagnosis or production tasks which noticeably impact end results.

Location: Spokane, WA - On Site, Full- -Time

Shift: Weekday Days | Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
