We are currently seeking a Mortgage Loan Opener that is responsible for file quality review on submitted files and ordering various loan services as required by the loan program and investor(s). This position ensures mortgage files and all applicable documents are complete, organized, and accurate. This allows for quicker loan processing time and a more positive client experience.

Key Accountabilities

Orders loan services such as flood determination, title, and tax transcripts as required for the loan program and investor(s).
• Ensures flood determination is delivered to borrower(s) according to internal procedures and Federal Regulations.
• Reviews and analyzes Automated Underwriting Services (AUS) findings.
• Identifies and files supporting loan documentation in correct placeholders.
• Accurately completes the file quality checklist.
• Maintains internal service level agreements.

Key Competencies for Position

Operational Knowledge and Organizational Skills

• A working knowledge of various loan programs offered by Old National Bank, including FHA, VA, USDA, and Construction-to-Permanent loans.
• Ability to read and analyze AUS findings and accurately apply that information to loan scenarios.
• High attention to detail and is able to prioritize and function accurately under the pressure of deadlines.

• Ability to clearly communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Follow internal procedures and job aids
• Effectively work as part of a team

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of previous mortgage experience
• Experience with Ellie Mae Encompass preferred
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to self-direct, prioritize, manage changing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts in simplistic terms.
• Strong attention to detail
