Support Motorola Solutions to obtain regulatory product compliance for mobile video products, fixed cameras and video appliances.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for safety, EMC, wireless and cybersecurity certification for video security products/cameras

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on interpreting standards and certification requirements

  • Work proactively with electrical, mechanical, firmware engineering design team during development process to ensure products will pass certification

  • Ensure products are tested in accordance with safety, EMC, RF, cybersecurity standards

  • Advocate on behalf of Motorola Solutions with the test labs, agencies and governing bodies

  • Interface with suppliers along with industry partners to ensure products and components meet regulatory compliance

  • Produce and maintain required compliance certificates, test reports to show conformance to regulatory requirements

  • Support regulatory compliance process improvement activities

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience in regulatory compliance for wireless video/multimedia equipment

  • Extensive experience with EMC, RF and safety certification

  • Experience working with certification bodies and test labs

  • Experience obtaining country type approvals including FCC, ICES, CE, RCM, Anatel

  • Extensive knowledge of the following standards:

    • Safety: IEC 62368-1, IEC 62471

    • Emissions: FCC Part 15 Subpart B, ICES-003, EN 55032, EN 61000-6-3, EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-3-3

    • Immunity: EN 55035, EN 61000-6-1, EN 50130-4, EN 50121-4, EN 301 489

    • RF: FCC Part 15 Subparts C, D, E, F, FCC Parts 22, 25, 90, 96, FCC RF Exposure Compliance, RSS-102, RSS-247, RSS-210, RSS-195, RSS-119, RSS-132, RSS-131, RSS-139, RSS-220, RSS-140, RSS-GEN, EN 300 328, EN 300 220, EN 300 440, EN 301 893, EN 301 908, EN 62479

    • Cybersecurity: EN 18031-1, EN18031-2, ETSI EN 303 645

    • Automotive EMC: ISO 7637, EN 50498

  • Experience testing to technical regulatory standards

  • Experience writing safety/EMC/RF test reports and producing technical compliance packages

  • Experience with Bluetooth SIG certification

  • Must be a strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills and must have the ability to explain standard requirements clearly

  • Flexible to attend online meetings with teams based in Asian and European time zones

  • Goal driven and good business acumen

  • Able to work in a fast paced environment

  • Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.

Target Base Salary Range: $98,100 - $156,200 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
