Forest View Hospital, located just seven miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a private 108 bed psychiatric facility that serves children, adolescents and adults. Position Summary:

The Lead Inpatient Clinician Social Work provides social services to patients in their assigned program under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services. The Lead Inpatient Clinician is responsible for the maintenance of Social Work standards of practice, credentialing and in-servicing of Social Work staff, maintenance of the Social Work Intern Program, and acts as a liaison to the Director of Clinical Services in maintaining the quality of Social Work Services.

The Lead Inpatient Clinician position reports to the Director of Clinical Services, and will assist with the following responsibilities:

• Assists with maintaining the daily Assessments Audit, including monitoring the addition of new patients, ensuring timeliness of the Psychosocial Assessment & the Master Treatment Plan, and ensuring timeliness and completion of collateral contacts
• As needed, the Lead will assist with scheduling treatment teams for each unit, and ensuring the audit is updated to reflect master and updated treatment teams were held for respective patients.
• Assists with ensuring a timely and effective workflow with discharges, discharge planning, and pre-admits.
• Will back up the Director of Clinical services in their absence, ensuring assignments, groups, and discharges are completed as needed.
• Will assist in completing New Hire Orientation for new staff in the event the DSC is not able to.
• Assists with ensuring all utilization management request are completed in the chart in a timely manner.
• Recieves notification of admission of patients and referrals for social work intervention

These duties will fluctuate as needed, and additional responsibilities may be added as appropriate, based on the needs of the hospital, individual units, and staff.

Education: MSW required

Licensure: LLMSW or LMSW

Experience: previous behavioral health experience preferred
