Salt Lake Behavioral Health is currently seeking a compassionate and talented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Outpatient department.

The Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric and nursing assessments for individuals seeking services, ensuring timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate admission and referral decisions. The RN is also responsible for weekly check ins with our PHP patients, and for teaching a health and wellness related educational group once per week. The RN assists the Outpatient Director with incoming referrals, verification of benefits for potential patients, scheduling and completion of intakes.

We believe in an individualized, patient-focused approach to diagnosis and treatment. For some, anxiety or drug dependence looks different from others with the same diagnoses, and in some cases, Behavioral health and substance use disorders occur simultaneously. In these cases of dual-diagnosis, we treat the patients in the best way possible given their specific case.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience: 1 -3 Years Required, 3 -5 Years Preferred.
  • Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Utah State Board of Nursing.
  • Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, HCFA, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. CPR certification and successful completion of training in Handle With Care during Orientation, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
