IT Infrastructure Engineer

Triumvirate Environmental, one of North America's leading environmental services firms, is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our Information Technology team in Somerville, Massachusetts.

This position reports to the Associate Director of IT Operations and is based in ourSomerville, Massachusetts corporate office. The role will be fully onsite in Somerville for the first 90 days. Following the onboarding period, employees will transition to a hybrid schedule consisting of 3 days onsite in Somerville, MA and 2 days remote, subject to manager and Human Resources approval.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support multi-site IT infrastructure spanning branch offices, HQ, and Azure to optimize performance, security, and user accessibility.
• Own and evolve the network environment including: firewalls, VPNs, switches, and enterprise wireless including a near-term transition to Zero Trust architecture.
• Contribute at a high level to Microsoft 365 and Azure administration, advancing the team's capabilities across these platforms.
• Support on-premises infrastructure including VMware and storage environments.
• Serve as a senior technical resource for infrastructure escalations and a mentor to junior team members.

Basic Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure, including multi-site environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Azure (Entra ID, Intune, Defender). Additional certifications preferred (Microsoft, Aruba, Fortinet).
• Strong attention to detail and an appetite for continual learning.
• Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN/Wireless and network security technologies (Fortinet, Ubiquiti, Aruba preferred).
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
• Must have a reliable form of transportation
