Civil Engineer, Terafab

• Support Tesla's mission by helping deliver the civil infrastructure foundation for Terafab
• Assist in managing projects across planning, design, bid, and construction phases. Help define work scope, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements under senior guidance
• Develop high quality civil engineering deliverables, including construction document drawings, specifications, narratives, and calculations. Support the use and improvement of civil design standards and details
• Review drawings and proposals from vendors, engineers, and architects; actively support multi-disciplinary coordination. Prepare for and participate in 30%/60%/90% model and design reviews with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Communicate project needs, changes, and status clearly and proactively to internal and external team members
• Assist with coordination meetings and permitting processes to help obtain jurisdictional approvals for civil engineering scope
• Support master planning and detailed site design, including roadways, grading, pavements, utilities, traffic, stormwater management, and complex intermodal sites

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
• EIT preferred and willingness to pursue PE licensure
• 2+ years of relevant experience (internships, co-ops, academic projects, or professional work in industrial, high-tech, manufacturing, or large-scale site development preferred). Exposure to facilities such as vehicle manufacturing, robotics, semiconductors, battery, solar, or similar infrastructure is a strong advantage. Knowledge of or coursework/experience in master planning and civil site design: roadway, grading, pavements, utilities, traffic, stormwater management plans, erosion and sediment control, and multi-user operational/manufacturing sites
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with hydrology/stormwater management software preferred. Ability to contribute to production of construction documents for permitting and construction
• Strong ability to multi-task, adapt to rapidly evolving project requirements and timelines, work both independently and collaboratively with minimal initial oversight as skills grow, prioritize assignments, communicate effectively with diverse teams, uphold standards, and escalate issues promptly
• Genuine interest in contributing to Terafab's advanced semiconductor fabrication infrastructure and large-scale, high-tech site development. Positive, professional "never quit" attitude with a desire to tackle ambitious challenges. Creative problem-solving mindset and interest in developing practical, innovative design solutions
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages a plus
