As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driver in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a professional presence through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle access in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare clear reports on incidents, patrol activities, and/or observed maintenance or operational concerns, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
