Job Description




As a Security Officer Entry Screening in Tavares, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and property, and support daily operations through strong communication and professionalism. This role offers the chance to stay engaged, remain visible, and provide outstanding service while helping with security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen visitors, staff, and/or personal belongings using assigned screening equipment and established post orders to help support authorized entry procedures.
  • Verify identification, credentials, and/or required documentation before permitting access to restricted or controlled areas.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited item discoveries, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to supervisors or designated personnel.
  • Monitor entry points and nearby areas for unusual activity, complete required logs and reports, and follow all Allied Universal and location-specific security-related policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
