The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a student-focused and detail-oriented Admissions Specialist to support prospective students throughout the admissions process. This position plays a key role in representing the university, providing exceptional customer service, and assisting applicants from inquiry through enrollment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, collaborative, and passionate about helping students achieve their educational goals in a dynamic higher education environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Along with territory managers, serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students and families regarding admissions processes, application requirements, and enrollment procedures

  • Review and process applications and supporting documentation in accordance with university policies and deadlines.

  • Along with territory managers, communicate with applicants via phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person interactions to provide guidance and support throughout the admissions cycle.

  • Maintain accurate student records and update applicant information within university systems.

  • Assist with recruitment initiatives, outreach events, campus visits, orientations, and admissions presentations.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a seamless admissions and onboarding experience for students.

  • Monitor application status and follow up with applicants regarding missing documentation or next steps.

  • Support compliance with institutional policies, FERPA regulations, and admissions standards.

  • Prepare reports and assist with data tracking related to admissions activities and enrollment goals.

  • Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned.

Compensation

The hourly range for this role is$19.00 to $22.00. The final offer will be based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs, and may fall outside of the stated range.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or completion of program of 18+ months after high school or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with database or student information systems.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and maintain professionalism in all interactions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in higher education, admissions, recruitment, or student services.

  • Familiarity with Campus Solutions., CRM systems, or student enrollment platforms.

  • Knowledge of admissions processes, higher education regulations, and student engagement best practices.
