Research Laboratory Technician II - SPAHP

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our research team as a research technician in the Creighton University Department of Physical Therapy. This individual will be joining an integrated clinical and research center with an overarching goal of keeping people active in adulthood and later adulthood. Our research aims focus on enhancing the physical activity of adults in rural communities.

The research technician will help coordinate funded studies investigating the feasibility and efficacy of an app-based delivered exercise program, and the feasibility and efficacy of a walking program for Veterans with mild cognitive impairment and their care partners. Responsibilities will include project management (e.g., supporting recruitment, participant scheduling, oversight of student workers, and communication), assisting with on-site data collection (Omaha, Nebraska and surrounding areas), data processing and analysis, and assisting with dissemination activities (e.g., abstracts, posters, manuscripts). The research assistant will also assist with other ongoing activities in the lab. This position is generally Monday-Friday but may require some evening, weekend, and holiday work. This position is not a remote position and employee will need to be on campus.

This is a grant-funded position beginning May 1, 2026 for ~1 year, with annual renewals depending on performance and funding. Once the grant funding has been exhausted, the position will end.

Education & Experience:

Completed associate's degree, preferred completed bachlor's degree, preferred previous experience in human subjects research
