Dispatcher

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, operates a base radio station by dispatching ambulance and wheelchair personnel to emergent or nonemergent situations and/or requests for assistance and/or transport and by monitoring all radio traffic for designated frequencies as well as through multiple phone lines. The dispatcher is the hub of communication for ambulance and wheelchair van transports.

  • This role is an onsite position and will report onsite daily as scheduled.
  • This role requires for you to be located within a commutable distance of our office location listed below:
  • Texas: Lubbock
  • Flexible and available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled, based on departmental needs and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications:



  • Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
  • 1 year experience working in a customer service related environment.
  • 1 year dispatch experience, preferably with Security, Law Enforcement or Military Police.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Coursework/Training: 30 hours or more of higher education coursework.
  • Coursework/Training: Documented customer service training.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
