DESCRIPTION

Our innovative Concierge Medicine Program, located in La Jolla, delivers highly personalized, coordinated care through leading-edge medicine and advanced technology. The practice serves patients ages 10 and older.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a key member of the Concierge Medicine physician team, helping you get timely access to care with same-day or next-day appointments. The APP supports seamless continuity of care by managing follow-up on laboratory results, prescribing medication refills, and coordinating referrals to specialty services as needed.

While not required, a cover letter is highly recommended when applying to this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program.

  • California Registered Nurse (RN) license, California Nurse Practitioner (NP) license, and Furnishing License Certification.

  • National NP board certification in aligned specialty with the practice area.

  • BLS/CPR certification at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months of hire date.

  • Minimum three (3) years of licensed work experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care, Urgent Care, and/or Concierge Medicine.

  • Proven knowledge of common diagnostic tests, exams, and procedures used in the clinic. Must understand purpose, required supplies and/or equipment, how to perform procedure accurately, infection control, and accurate documentation of medical chart.

  • Ability to perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations, identify key medical concerns, and develop appropriate, patient-centered care plans.

  • Ability to independently manage a patient load with accountability for quality, continuity, and outcomes of care, with the ability to manage fast-paced workflows and high patient volumes

  • Demonstrates advanced clinical judgment and critical thinking to assess, manage, and evaluate patients in a high acuity ambulatory setting.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with physicians, laboratory personnel, and interdisciplinary care teams, demonstrating professionalism, responsiveness, and a commitment to a high-touch patient experience.

  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with patients, referring physicians, and administrative teams, fostering trust and a seamless care experience.

  • Comfort with and commitment to facilitating timely, accurate, and confidential communication between patients and the care team.

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively anticipate, prioritize, and address the individualized needs of a concierge patient population.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous concierge medicine experience.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
  • Must be able to obtain UCSD Medical Staff privileges and maintain during employment. Due to advanced practice credentialing eligibility, clinical advanced practice work experience must be within the last two years.
  • Current UCSD NPIII employees may be hired at the NPIII level pending review and approval by Health Human Resources and the UCSD Advanced Practice Council.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $176,624 - $247,157 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $84.59 - $118.37

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
