Position Summary

The Business Development Manager leads account sales, proposal development, client stewardship, and strategic growth initiatives, while supporting regional business development and managing existing accounts. This role focuses on building strong relationships with key decision makers, leveraging customer and competitor insights, and guiding prospects through the full partnership lifecycle, from service demonstrations to contract negotiation and implementation. The position also oversees CRM management, develops client feedback processes to address concerns proactively, and uses strategic data and industry insights to strengthen sales and marketing efforts, drive growth, and enhance proposal competitiveness.



Responsibilities

KEY TASKS & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customers

Support service excellence & stewardship by:

    Preparing and delivering presentations related to available IS technology and service offerings
  • Requesting and measuring satisfaction feedback from clients
  • Participating in client stewardship meetings
  • Developing higher level of intelligence of customers business needs
  • Dealing with client concerns prior to escalation
  • Educating clients with potential technology solutions

Develop new clients & markets by:

  • Identifying high opportunity industries and geographies
  • Participating in local and new market deep dives
  • Developing/executing on specific client opportunities
  • Playing active role in corporate account ownership
  • Actively managing major accounts (CRM)

Regional Operations

Support IS Regional business development initiatives by:

  • Identifying, pursuing and implementing innovative approaches, technologies and/or solutions to client opportunities
  • Working closely with the Regional IS leadership to develop and implement regional strategic planning and execution of those plans
  • Preparing and making available updated collateral material - brochures, flysheets, PPT presentations, pricing, competitive assessments
  • Ensuring regions have active Client retention programs


AGI

Represent the interests of AGI by:

  • Ensuring service excellence to key or strategic clients, focusing on internal systems for staffing, scheduling, invoicing, project execution, and following up to verify client satisfaction
  • Collaborating with Acuren corporate BD representatives in aggressive goal setting; communicating and implementing strategies to achieve the goals
  • Ensure that organization is situated to prepare bids that win
  • Utilizing process for lead generation
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with both internal and external clients by engendering an environment of responsive service and frequent communication
  • Administer tracking process for bid submissions and results
  • Monitoring and responding appropriately where contracts are approaching expiry
  • Providing a good example for employees by always directing and performing work in an ethical and reliable manner

Other

  • Responsible for attaining or exceeding the annual sales budget for the assigned customers
  • Communicates weekly to identify account priorities
  • Responsible for inventory forecasts, sales administration of new items, resolving customer supply emergencies and everyday needs
  • Has an integral role in new business pitches and holds responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new clients.
  • Develops sales programs designed to achieve budgeted sales volume.
  • Focuses on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business.

Other work duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent time and project management, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self motivated and capable of working at a high technical and cognitive level
  • Comprehensive knowledge of rope access and related industrial services
  • In depth knowledge of Customer Relationship Management programs

EDUCATION:

  • 5 years in management positions with direct responsibilities for sales and marketing programs
  • Prior experience in the automotive and/or aerospace industries required
  • Experience selling technical, engineering, inspection, testing, or industrial services within these sectors is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage people in an industrial service industry
  • University degree in a related field
  • Experience successfully implementing and managing sales process principles and practices in a service environment.

Working Conditions

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work is performed primarily in an office environment with frequent use of a computer and other standard office equipment.
  • Extended or irregular hours may be required during peak business periods, special projects, or critical deadlines.
  • Work involves handling multiple tasks with competing deadlines and frequent interruptions
  • Adaptable to changing schedules with willingness to travel regularly, including last minute and overnight travel.
