Job Description

Job Title: Order Processing Specialist (OCR to ERP Systems)
Location: Cary, NC (4 days onsite - 1 remote)
Start Date: ASAP
Job Type: Contract (12 months - possible extension or conversion)
Pay Rate: $35-37/hr

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Process customer orders captured through OCR (Optical Character Recognition) systems into the ERP system with a high degree of accuracy
* Review, validate, and correct OCR-extracted order data, identifying discrepancies, missing fields, or formatting issues
* Troubleshoot order processing errors including system mismatches, failed integrations, and data inconsistencies
* Monitor order queues and ensure timely processing of high-volume transactional workloads
* Perform routine audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of order and customer data across systems
* Collaborate closely with Customer Service, Operations, IT, and Master Data teams to resolve order-related issues
* Maintain and update basic customer and order master data as needed
* Escalate complex system or data issues to appropriate technical or functional teams
* Document recurring issues and support continuous process improvement initiatives
* Support adherence to defined SLAs and operational processing standards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate or Bachelor"s degree preferred)
* 2+ years of experience in order processing, data entry, customer service operations, or similar role
* Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
* Familiarity with OCR or automated order capture tools preferred
* Basic understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) principles
* Experience working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams)

* Strong attention to detail with high focus on accuracy and data integrity
* Ability to manage repetitive, high-volume transactional work with consistency
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Effective communication skills with cross-functional teams, especially Customer Service
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Basic analytical skills to identify trends, errors, and recurring issues
* Strong organizational skills and ability to follow structured processes

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:
* Experience in shared services, order management, or supply chain environments
* Exposure to OCR tools and automated order processing workflows
* Experience with data validation, cleansing, or light governance processes
* Comfortable working in structured, process-driven environments with tight SLAs
* Continuous improvement mindset with willingness to identify process gaps
