Description

We are hiring for a Principal/Senior Principal Scientist in New Hope, MN (Minneapolis-St. Paul area). This individual significantly contributes to the formulation research and development processes and strategies at Padagis to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, especially in immediate release and modified release solid oral dosage forms.

Candidates must be located in, or be willing to relocate to, the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metropolitan Area to be eligible for consideration. The salary range for this position is $160,000.00 - $210,000.00 depending on education and experience.

Job duties:



  • Product and process development and support of commercialization activities for generic prescription products, specifically immediate release and modified release solid oral dosage forms. Provides comprehensive expertise in the development of solid oral dosage forms to meet target product quality attributes within defined timelines and budget.


  • Leads product and process development as a technical leader while interfacing with cross-functional departments to ensure products can be produced with scientific rigor in a manner that is efficient, safe, and compliant with FDA and company regulatory standards.
  • Leads complex and significant research projects to support the development and launch of new and reformulated products; evaluates findings and prepares documentation to support processes, methods, standards, and related findings and recommendations to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Supports the planning and implementation of research and development operational strategies and related projects.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders through all phases of formulation research and development processes to provide technical expertise in the new product development processes and related due diligence.


Required qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree with ten or more (10+) years of directly related experience to include development and scale-up of solid oral dosage forms in successful generic companies; or Master's Degree with eight or more (8+) years; or PhD with five or more (5+) years.
  • PhD or MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences preferred, or a degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Availability to travel both domestically and internationally up to ten percent (10%).

5 years: Directly related pharmaceutical R&D experience to include development and scale-up of solid oral dosage forms (required)
