Pay Range: $26-32.50 an hour

6 month contract


The position will perform non-destructive testing to evaluate the integrity and quality of materials, components, or structures without causing damage. Using specialized techniques such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and eddy current testing, they will identify defects, ensure compliance with safety and industry standards, and document findings in detailed reports. They also maintain and calibrate equipment while collaborating with engineers and quality assurance teams to ensure product reliability and safety.

What you'll be doing as an NDT Technician

* Set up and standardize equipment, conduct tests, and document results

* Interpret and evaluate results for acceptance or rejection with Level II or III guidance

* Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method in which they are certified

* Assist with special repair processes

* Meet industry standard requirements for Nondestructive Testing personnel, as stated in NAS410

* As needed, work towards next level and/or other NDT certifications used

* Other duties as assigned

Skills You Bring to This Role:

* High School Diploma or GED

* High attention to detail

* Understanding of standards and regulations related to job duties

* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to analyze data and make informed decisions

* Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with others on the team

* Strong safety awareness

* Previous job-related experience preferred, specifically in dye penetrant (PT) and/or magnetic particle (MT).

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

* Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

* Capable of standing for extended periods during the entire duration of shift

* Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.

* Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.

* Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.

* Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.

* Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.

DOT/FAA Requirements

This role is subject to DOT/FAA regulations. Candidates must complete a DOT drug test upon hire and be enrolled in the supplier's DOT/FAA program, including participation in the random testing pool. Suppliers not registered with DOT/FAA should not submit candidates for this position.
