Application Architect

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior C++/C# Engineer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This is a Level 3 support role for a low-latency trading platform, requiring direct interaction with traders. The position involves application management, maintaining trading feeds, and performing quality assurance for release validation in a fast-paced trading environment. The role requires working 3 days onsite per week.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 3 support for a low-latency trading platform, including interaction with traders and escalation with the platform vendor
• Perform application management and governance
• Maintain trading feeds between trading platforms and surveillance/audit systems
• Review and implement enterprise security mandates
• Review application changes and perform Quality Assurance (QA) for release validation

Requirements:

• Experience with electronic trading platforms is required
• Knowledge of electronic trading systems (Futures / Bonds)
• Integration and protocol expertise, including debugging in production-like environments
• C++, C#, and Java development knowledge
• Experience with both Unix and Windows environments
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with traders
• Ability to handle stress linked to the support of trading systems

Desired skills:

• Knowledge of Futures and Bonds contracts
• Understanding of global markets

Pay range: $60 - $68 per hour
