Level II: Key Responsibilities:
Works assigned tasks to meet schedule and may coordinate details with other departments. Recognizes problems which are beyond capabilities and is learning from the experts in the area. May implement process improvements on a project level. Performs work which involves the use of conventional engineering practices. Writes and performs component tests with some supervision.
Key Skills:
Effective written and verbal communication skills including presentations (internal only); Basic technical writing skills (procedures, reports, etc.). Competent skills in problem solving and trouble-shooting. Ability to effectively operate in the project team environment and communicate with customers. May direct or lead work of technicians, detailers and designers. Basic ability to understand and interpret industry and Woodward technical standards including quality system standards and PLC process Basic use and understanding of FEA tools, basic use of DFSS tools and methodologies; Basic knowledge of Engineering quality systems (PLC, engineering change, configuration management). Performs work which involves conventional engineering practices, but includes a variety of complex features, such as conflicting design requirements, non-standard materials and difficult coordination requirements. Provides direct support of sales and development by sharing information in the form of proposals and design reviews Independently writes and performs component tests.
