About This Role

The College of Education at Kansas State University is seeking an Events Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and execution of a wide range of college-wide events, programs, and engagement initiatives. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Enrollment Management & Institutional Partnerships, this position serves as a key operational support role for signature events, student engagement initiatives, scheduling coordination, and administrative event logistics.

The Events Coordinator will assist with planning and executing recruitment events, commencement-related activities, donor and alumni engagement events, student recognition programs, and internal college events. This role also supports communications efforts related to events and serves as a scheduling contact for select college spaces.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and four years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education.


Preferred Qualifications:

*Bachelor's Degree
*Experience planning, coordinating, and supporting events or programs
*Strong organizational and project management skills
*Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Experience working collaboratively with students, faculty, staff and external partners
*Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
*High level of overall computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications
*Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of events and programs
*Experience in high education preferred, event coordination, student affairs, hospitality, or related fields preferred

Additional Role Information:

*Ability to lift and transfer event materials and supplies as needed.
*Valid driver's license upon hire.

Sponsorship eligibility:

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
