Job Summary
The Material Handler - Paint is responsible for supporting paint operations by handling, staging, preparing, and transporting transformer products and components throughout the production process. This role assists painters by preparing parts, organizing materials, operating powered industrial equipment, and maintaining workflow efficiency within the paint department. The ideal candidate will have strong material handling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Process kit lists and issue kits for paint operations
  • Pull cabinets and unbox parts for production preparation
  • Prepare and stage parts for painters according to production schedules
  • Move parts in and out of paint ovens and designated work areas
  • Mark parts for unit identification and update production tracking boards
  • Change paint barrels and support paint department material needs
  • Update prep and paint time boards accurately
  • Coordinate with crane operators regarding production cycle timing and workflow
  • Operate narrow aisle stackers and other powered industrial equipment to transport materials and parts
  • Handle parts and materials of varying sizes, weights, and configurations safely and efficiently
  • Maintain organized work areas and follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines
  • Support additional warehouse or paint department activities as assigned


Job Requirements



  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain medical clearance for respirator use required
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow production instructions
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills


Work Experience



  • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating fork trucks or other powered industrial vehicles preferred
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, material handling, or warehouse operations preferred
  • Previous working knowledge of industrial airless or air-pressure painting preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months of spray-painting experience preferred
