Duties and Responsibilities
Position Title: Project Manager

Key Responsibilities
Research Project Management

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Maternal and Child Health Research Lab.
  • Organize and facilitate weekly lab meetings, including agenda development, documentation of action items, and follow-up on deliverables.
  • Track progress on research projects to ensure milestones, timelines, and deliverables are met.
  • Maintain project documentation and shared research resources.


Manuscript Development and Submission

  • Coordinate manuscript development across lab members, including drafting support, content integration, editing, and formatting.
  • Manage journal submission processes, including adherence to journal guidelines, document preparation, and submission tracking.
  • Maintain a pipeline of manuscripts in preparation, under review, and published.

Grant Development and Submission

  • Support preparation and submission of grant proposals to internal and external funding sources.
  • Coordinate proposal timelines, assemble application materials, and ensure compliance with sponsor and institutional requirements.
  • Assist with drafting sections of proposals, including background, methods, and project management plans.

Lab Coordination and Collaboration

  • Support communication and coordination among faculty, trainees, and collaborators.
  • Track member contributions and deliverables across research projects.
  • Assist with coordination of student and trainee research activities.

Note: This is a 40 hour week position that pays $27 an hour. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

  • Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, health services research, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in academic research coordination or project management.
