At Endress+Hauser, progress happens by working together. As the global leader in measurement instrumentation, our ~17.000 employees shape the future in the field of process automation. Whether developing and realizing new technology as a team, collaborating to build instrumentation, or strengthening vital relationships with countless global industries, we work to create trusted relationships that help everyone thrive. As a family-owned company, we look beyond short-term moves and work to create a vision that is forward-thinking for our people, our clients, and the world at large. We are looking for a pH Final Assembly Assembler to join our team in Anaheim, supporting Endress+Hauser Conducta sensor manufacturing. In this hands-on role, you will perform final assembly of pH/ORP sensors including soldering the connector or cable to the back end of the pH sensor and loading the assembly into the required fixtures/templates to ensure consistent, high-quality builds while also supporting cable preparation activities as needed. What is the role about? Do you enjoy precision soldering and hands-on mechanical assembly? Are you at your best when building small parts into a finished product that must pass strict quality checks? Do you like combining detailed cable preparation with careful final assembly work? This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and consistency while partnering with Manufacturing and Quality in a clean, safety-first production environment. Which tasks will you perform? You will:
- Perform final assembly of pH and ORP sensors by soldering the connector or cable to the back end of the pH sensor subassembly.
- Load assembled sensors into the required assembly template/fixture to ensure correct alignment, repeatability, and quality during final build steps.
- Encapsulate and protect soldered/terminated connections using approved epoxies and silicone.
- Dispense electrolytes and gels into housing using dispensing equipment; rinse and dry assemblies using deionized water and isopropyl alcohol.
- Cut, strip, and prepare cables using hand tools and cable processing machines; tin wires using a soldering iron to prepare for connection to sensors.
- Prepare and apply heat shrink labels using a heat shrink labeling machine and shrink labels onto cables per work order requirements.
- Install cable-end connectors (e.g., BNC connectors using a pneumatic crimp machine) and install pin tips/other connectors using hand crimpers as required by the build.
- Read and interpret work orders, prints, schematics, manufacturing procedures, and work instructions to ensure correct configuration and routing.
- Inspect completed work for adherence to quality standards and confirm correct materials/components were used.
- Enter and update completed work orders/operations in SAP.
What do we expect from you? You:
- High School Diploma and/or GED required.
- Production assembly experience required (electronics or electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred).
- Soldering experience required, including wire preparation (tinning) and soldering/de-soldering techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints/prints, schematics, manufacturing procedures, and work instructions.
- Knowledge of safe production assembly practices and basic staging/inspection procedures.
- Comfort working with small components and precision hand tools/fixtures; strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to recognize proper color codes for different components in the assembly process.
- Experience posting or transacting work orders/operations in SAP preferred (or willingness to learn).
- Knowledge of chemical and material hazards, Safety Data Sheets, and proper handling and storage procedures for epoxies/silicones and other materials.
- Ability to lift to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods as needed during assembly and inspection.
- Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
