Media Planning Specialist
Location: Hybrid (Los Angeles Area)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Compensation: $89/hour
Job Summary
A leading entertainment and media organization is seeking an experienced Media Planning Specialist to develop and execute integrated media strategies across digital, social, and traditional channels. This role will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external media partners to oversee campaigns from concept through execution while driving performance against brand and business objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong agency experience, expertise in cross-channel media planning, and the ability to transform insights into strategic recommendations within a fast-paced environment.
Key Qualifications
- 7-10 years of media planning and strategy experience; agency experience preferred
- Minimum 4 years of experience working within a media agency environment
- Expertise in integrated media planning across digital, social, and above-the-line (ATL) channels
- Experience managing campaigns from strategy and concepting through execution and optimization
- Strong understanding of performance and brand KPI-driven media planning
- Proven ability to leverage audience insights and data to develop channel-level marketing strategies aligned to business objectives
- Familiarity with digital advertising, social media platforms, and traditional media channels including OOH and TV
- Experience measuring campaign effectiveness and presenting performance insights and recommendations to stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Experience working with syndicated research platforms such as MRI/Simmons, comScore, and social listening tools preferred
- Communications and audience strategy experience preferred
- Experience within entertainment, music, or media industries is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop integrated media strategies aligned with marketing and business objectives
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agency partners to execute cross-channel campaigns
- Manage workflows and timelines to ensure successful implementation of media plans
- Analyze campaign and channel performance to identify optimizations and future recommendations
- Present strategic insights, reporting, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Provide guidance on budget allocation, audience targeting, messaging, and media effectiveness
- Act as a strategic advisor to business stakeholders within a dynamic and evolving environment
- Monitor media trends, consumer behavior, and emerging opportunities to inform future strategies
Education
- Bachelor's degree required
