Job Summary Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) is seeking an Administrative Specialist Senior for the Physical Sciences Division. This full-time, on-campus role is ideal for a detail-oriented, self-directed professional who excels at building and maintaining high-functioning systems. We are looking for someone with a strong record of reliable, on-site attendance who can provide real-time, in-person support to students, employees, and visitors. The successful candidate will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, maintain accurate records, and implement quality-controlled processes that enable the Division to operate efficiently. You will work closely with the Faculty Chair to deliver consistent, high-quality administrative support and take ownership of tasks from start to finish. This role is well suited for someone who is comfortable with the natural variability of an office environment and uses quieter periods productively. This position requires a consistent on-campus presence during all scheduled hours. Candidates seeking remote work options should consider other opportunities, as this role serves as the primary in-person point of contact for the Division during posted business hours. Additional Information Note: A second interview will be conducted in the hiring process. Essential Functions This is a full-time, fully in-person role. The position requires a reliable on-site presence during all scheduled hours. The office experiences periods of low traffic, and the Administrative Specialist Sr is expected to stay present, productive, and proactive throughout the day. 40% Front Desk Presence & Daily Operations

10% Other Duties as Assigned Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of administrative office support or related experience providing a wide variety of secretarial, administrative office support and/or administrative coordination activities. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications 1. A record of reliable and consistent in-person attendance for the full scheduled shift. 2. Strong organizational skills, good judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, take initiative, and implement professional quality control processes that ensure tasks are completed accurately and to a high standard without close supervision. 3. Creative capacity to provide administrative support as new needs arise. 4. Proficient in Maricopa administrative systems (e.g., 25Live, Employee Learn Center, ERS, FMS, the various Google Workspace apps, HCM, and SIS) 5. Ability to follow established processes for approvals, tracking, and documentation, in a timely and reliable way. 6. One year of full-time relevant MCCCD experience during the previous two years.
