Job Summary

  • This position provides analytical and tactical procurement support for material categories, with a specific emphasis on raw materials and packaging used in architectural coatings manufacturing (e.g., resins, monomers, solvents, additives and intermediates).
  • The role supports Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, and Finance by analyzing spend, managing supplier performance, monitor and support sourcing project, and petrochemical cost drivers.
  • The Analyst leads small sourcing initiatives, supports category strategy decisions, ensures procurement compliance, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes and systems.
  • Working safely, ethically, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements is a core responsibility of this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support for contract negotiations, including pricing structures, escalation mechanisms, and risk provisions
  • Track and validate cost savings initiatives, including price reductions, cost avoidance, and value improvements
  • Develop and maintain raw material cost models, incorporating market indices, feedstock dynamics, and contractual pricing mechanisms
  • Analyze spend and volume to support sourcing strategies for new product development and cost optimization initiatives
  • Analyze pricing forecasts and market trends to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Monitor supplier performance; communicate cost drivers, risks, and supply insights to stakeholders
  • Ensure integrity and governance of procurement data within ERP systems, including pricing, sourcing, and material master data
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, and Finance to align sourcing decisions with production and cost objectives
  • Support supply continuity and risk mitigation strategies for critical raw materials
  • Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in compliance with internal policies, contractual obligations, applicable laws and regulations, and company ethical standards

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Chemistry, or Business equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement analysis, sourcing, supply chain analytics, or manufacturing finance roles. Experience in paint and/or chemical industry preferred.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of material procurement, including raw material cost drivers, indexlinked pricing, and supplier economics.
  • Working knowledge of petrochemical or coatings raw materials (resins, monomers, solvents, additives preferred).
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and procurement analytics/reporting tools.
  • Solid grounding in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract administration, and category management.
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate crossfunctionally in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to analyze sensitive commercial and supplier pricing data with discretion.
Company: Behr Paint Company Full time Hiring Range: $79,100.00 - $124,080.00 USD Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
