The Space Business Area within the Leidos Defense Sector has a new opportunity for a Director of Business Development to lead growth activities for the Proliferated Space Systems Division. This is an outstanding opportunity to shape and execute Leidos' strategy in one of the most dynamic and strategically important mission areas in the defense industry. The Proliferated Space Systems Division focuses on resilient, low-Earth orbit constellations and in particular EO/IR payloads and on orbit mission processing capabilities for those constellations as well as and related ground segment capabilities serving DoD and national security customers including the Space Development Agency (SDA), U.S. Space Force, NRO, and related mission partners. The Director of Business Development will serve as the growth engine for the Proliferated Space Systems Division, actively managing the full BD lifecycle from opportunity identification through award. This individual will work closely with the Space BA Growth Lead, division operations leadership, and senior Leidos staff to execute growth strategies, build enduring customer relationships, and drive a healthy qualified pipeline aligned to both near- and long-term revenue objectives. THE MISSION The Proliferated Space Systems Division BD function exists to grow Leidos' position as the partner of choice for affordable, resilient, and proliferated space architectures. This Director will drive identification of new opportunities in a rapidly evolving marketplace, lead complex captures, and build the customer and industry relationships necessary to win programs that advance national security space capabilities.
