| Job Summary |
The
Academic Project Manager plays a key role in supporting the
Accounting Area at the
Jindal School of Management (
JSOM), helping drive initiatives that enhance student success and program visibility. This role is responsible for coordinating program marketing efforts, collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports, and tracking progress toward strategic objectives.
In addition, the
Academic Project Manager oversees more advanced academic advising activities and leads the coordination of events, retention initiatives, and student outreach efforts. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate across teams and contribute to innovative projects that strengthen the academic experience and advance the mission of
JSOM. |
| Minimum Education and Experience |
Bachelor's degree with five (5) years of relevant experience, including two (2) years working with students in a college or university setting. |
| Preferred Education and Experience |
Preferred Education and Experience Candidates with a degree in accounting and/or
CPA License preferred. |
| Other Qualifications |
To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. |
| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate Accounting Area events
- Provide administrative support to PPA academic advising
- Monitor and track the academic progress of PPA students
- Support early identification initiatives for prospective PPA students
- Manage Excel certification processes for ACCT 3312 students
- Create and distribute the Accounting Area newsletter
- Perform additional administrative and project coordination duties as assigned
