Position Summary
The College of Medicine, Office of Office of Faculty Development (OFD) is seeking an extra help position for the role of OFD Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Faculty Development, the position will help coordinate activities and programs within the Office of Faculty Development. The position will interact with internal and external constituents regarding tasks and responsibilities in the Office of Faculty Development. Maintaining confidentiality will be required.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • 1. Assist with regular meetings and special events planning and logistics (scheduling, room reservations, calendar invitations, etc.)
  • 2. Communicate with faculty members and stakeholders. We value experience creating and disseminating newsletters and meeting minutes.
  • 3. Assist with the implementation and analysis of ongoing needs assessment and program evaluation data. Use of Qualtrics, Redcap, Excel, summarizing quantitative and qualitative data and creating survey items, graphs and figures and contributing to analysis of statistical reports will be necessary.
  • 4. Manage the tasks related to various OFD programs including the We-CARE Faculty Peer Support Program, Faculty Mentoring Program, Pathways to Leadership Speaker Series.
  • 5. Maintain materials in the OFD Box folder.
  • 6. Assist with literature searches, support for preparing publications and grant writing.
  • 7. Manage social media.
  • 8. Perform other duties as assigned related to faculty development initiatives in UICOM.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.


  • Minimum Qualifications
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs) Knowledge of principles and processes for supporting tasks for the Office of Faculty Development:
    1. Knowledge of basic statistics, preparing reports, and developing online surveys, as needed. This will include assessment of both qualitative and quantitative data.

    2. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as Qualtrics, excel, word processing, file and record management, data entry, form design, and other office procedures and terminology.

    3. Knowledge of electronic equipment, email, and calendar scheduling.

    4. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

    5. Ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.

    6. Ability to exhibit strong organizational skills and maintain detailed, accurate records.

    7. Ability to interpret work-related documents, policies, and procedures.

    8. Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

    9. Strong written and oral communication skills.

    10. Ability to multi-task with time management and organizational skills.

    11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to take constructive feedback and follow through on assigned responsibilities.

    12. Strong work ethics and professionalism.
