The successful candidate will join RTI International's Global Real Estate Group, reporting directly to the Director of Capital Projects Sustainability and Innovation.


What You'll Do

Job Summary:

The Sustainability and Hospitality Coordinator 2 is responsible for bridging sustainability, hospitality, marketing, and communications to enhance RTI's campus value and improve the RTI experience for visitors, staff, and future tenants.

Combining program delivery, guest-facing hospitality, and content development for internal and external-facing audiences, this position will support day-to-day operations, in addition to the strategic development and continuous improvement of RTI's campus and future regional offices.

This position will report to the Director of Capital Projects, Sustainability, and Innovation in RTI's Global Real Estate (GRE) group and work frequently with GRE General Operations, RTI, Corporate Communications, and RTI's new Marketing team.

Essential Duties:

Primary - Sustainability

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance sustainability across RTI's main campus and future regional offices
  • Manage new and existing initiatives in waste management, nature & habitat, sustainable transportation, and employee engagement
  • Collaborate with diverse teams across GRE and RTI to gain support for sustainability initiatives and move them forward to new milestones
  • Author ongoing monthly communications and engagement efforts for RTI Sustainability program, coordinating with both Corporate Communications and RTI's new Marketing team
  • Maintain relevant sustainability information on RTI Intranet ("Insider") and the Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability section of RTI.org
  • Collaborate with RTI's Meetings & Events team on key sustainability events such as RTI Earth Fair and sustainability best practices for all events.

Secondary - Hospitality

  • Interact with RTI employees, clients, potential hires, and other campus visitors to create a welcoming, engaging, and supportive environment for all
  • Develop educational materials, curated experiences, meaningful touchpoints, and thank you & welcome gifts to surprise and delight different RTI audiences
  • Create a campus "Client Walk" along with a tour script and supporting signage to educate campus visitors about RTI's history, research, and sustainability efforts
  • Collaborate with GRE leadership and RTI's Marketing team on a new program and staffing model for RTI's "Service Bar" and main lobby in Holden Building
  • Serve as GRE liaison for future tenants on campus as part of RTI's Tenant Strategy to make sure their needs are met in a timely fashion.

What You'll Need

Typical Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience, Master's degree and 1 year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, including correspondence, personal, telephonic and electronic means.
  • Ability to gain knowledge of RTI personnel and research centers and build relationships with business leaders, GRE personnel, committee members, and volunteers
  • Proficiency in sustainable strategies including green building, energy efficiency, water and energy conservation programs, and waste minimization programs
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Must be able to handle/manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete them within established deadlines
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service to RTI's employees, clients, and other campus visitors
  • Ability to adjust to priorities and manage time wisely
  • Ability to maintain records and documentation
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner and listen attentively to others, understand materials and provide guidance
  • Public-speaking skills, including live and virtual events.

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below. Our pay ranges represent national averages and may vary by location as a geographic differential may be applied to some locations within the United States.
