Overview

TRC Companies (TRC) is a national engineering and energy efficiency consulting firm that provides integrated services to the energy, environmental, and infrastructure markets across the United States. TRC serves a broad range of clients in the public and private sectors, implementing energy efficiency programs and complex projects from initial concept to delivery and operation.

TRC is seeking an Associate Outreach Consultant to engage with stakeholders in working towards clean energy goals. The position works across industries including local governments, commercial and industrial contractors, vendors, and customers regarding the implementation of energy efficiency rebate and incentive program offerings.


Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of standard project tasks within time & budget of project with limited oversight.
  • Gains sector/domain-specific knowledge and develop core skills.
  • Build relationships with partners, clients, and customers.
  • Prepare and update materials for trade shows and events.
  • Supports the implementation of projects and contributes to developing reports.
  • Develops and delivers educational tools to help Trade Allies and customers adhere to energy efficiency programs.
  • Work closely with other functional groups, including program coordination and engineering.
  • Identify outreach opportunities by ascertaining customer requirements and analyzing how the program can reach customers.
  • Attend and present at tradeshows and events as necessary, to promote and educate businesses on the benefits of the Program.
  • Travel expectations within assigned territory.
  • Coordinates of approved purchases for outreach team materials and events.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are those an applicant must possess to be considered a candidate for the position.

  • Master's Degree OR
  • Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of relevant experience OR
  • Associates degree and 2+ years of relevant experience OR
  • HS diploma and 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience evaluating the effectiveness of outreach efforts and suggesting alternatives.
  • Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of target audience and how to effectively engage multiple levels of decision making within a company, municipality, or other local government or state agency.
  • Team-oriented, hands-on, highly skilled, adaptive, and client-focused.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications are not required for an applicant to be considered a candidate for the position.

  • Sales or business development experience, preferably within the energy sector, or the design or construction industries.
  • Energy efficiency-related certifications are a plus, such as Certified Energy Manager (CSM) or LEED AP (LEED Accredited Professional).
  • Experience working with state agencies, public authorities or utilities preferred.
  • Experience with commercial or industrial site energy efficiency evaluations or audits a plus.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $31.36 - USD $38.46 /Hr.
