Position Summary

To provide a full range of HR services to allocated teams and team members within McMinnville, reporting to the McMinnville Business Unit HR Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Directly partner with managers to enable improved leadership, enhanced HR credibility and to help maximise business performance.
  • Be a first point of contact for managers and team members from allocated teams.
  • Assist in development of fit for purpose team member onboarding processes.
  • Assist in driving improved employee engagement and increased focus on HPT and PLS.
  • Interface with operational leaders on job openings and resource planning.
  • Review resumes and creates candidate pools.
  • Create recommendations for offers.
  • Partner with managers to complete performance management and talent management cycle.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR practices.
  • Develop and administer local training.
  • Work with managers to identify best utilization of corporate sponsored training.
  • Address complex and varied questions and concerns by managers and team members.
  • Facilitate disciplinary and grievance processes with management input.
  • Administer the annual merit process for all relevant team members.
  • Address questions on compensation and benefits.
  • Conduct reporting and analytics as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree (required) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2 years of progressive, tactical HR experience (HR generalist, employee relations, recruiting, or similar), with experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated entrylevel strategic exposure-participation in workforce planning, HR project work, or initiative design (e.g., piloting a retention program, contributing to a divisional people plan).
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; proven ability to build credibility with managers and employees.
  • Experience handling employee relations cases and applying employment law basics.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel (reporting/analytics basics).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and training skills.
  • Solid project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
