Position Overview:

The Summer Corporate Tax Data Analytics & Visualization Intern will support the corporate tax team by transforming complex tax data into actionable insights through analytics and visualization tools. This role provides hands-on experience working with large datasets, automating tax processes, and supporting tax compliance and reporting (ASC 740) through data-driven solutions. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of Framingham, MA office.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in extracting, cleansing, and transforming tax data from ERP systems, general ledger, and other financial sources

  • Develop dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Power BI, Excel) to support tax provision, compliance, and management reporting

  • Support automation of recurring tax processes, including data collection and workpaper preparation

  • Analyze tax data to identify trends, risks, and planning opportunities (e.g., ETR drivers, state apportionment, credits)

  • Assist with data validation and reconciliation between tax and financial reporting systems

  • Support tracking and analytics for tax credits and incentives (e.g., ITC, Section 179D, energy-related incentives)

  • Collaborate with tax, accounting, and IT teams to improve data integrity and reporting efficiency

  • Document processes, data flows, and dashboard logic for internal controls and audit support.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, basic data modeling).

  • Foundational understanding of data cleaning or analysis concepts.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

  • Exposure to Power Query, DAX, SQL, or similar data tools.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to translate data insights into business implications.

The anticipated hourly range for this role is $20.00 - $32.00 per hour (presented in good faith). In addition to base pay, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, and may be eligible for performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity, depending on the role.

Actual pay will depend on factors such as internal equity, skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. This range supports our commitment to pay transparency and compliance with applicable laws. Compensation may vary by work location, including remote arrangements.
