Job Description

As a member of the Visa Global Privacy Office (GPO), you will work on complex privacy topics shaping the global payments ecosystem as we enter the AI age. You will have a unique opportunity to become an expert on a diverse range of cutting-edge topics. In addition to leading the Visa global privacy program, our team supports a wide array of global, regional, and local initiatives on data governance, cybersecurity, records and information management, AI and machine learning, open banking and cross border data movement. The GPO is currently looking for a Program Manager to join its Program, Policy and Governance (PPG) Team. Reporting to the Senior Managing Counsel for the PPG Team, the Manager will be a critical point of contact for the Visa Global Privacy Program, liaising across the organization to enable comprehensive privacy controls throughout Visa.

Essential Functions:

  • Support updates to and monitoring critical privacy program components, including global privacy notices, PRA pipeline and SLA reports, and post-review action items associated with PRAs.
  • Assist with program communications and change management activities regarding key privacy, AI and data use developments.
  • Provide program management support for compliance projects related to roll out of new/updated laws and regulations
  • Assist with tracking of, revisions to, and other updates to program training, standards, procedures and other documentation
  • Actively learn and lend privacy expertise as it relates to data, AI, and privacy in projects across the organization.
  • Able to take critical eye toward process streamlining, tool enhancements (including use of GenAI) and de-duplication across data workstreams (data use, privacy, AI, cybersecurity, and records & information management).
  • Represent the Global Privacy Office's Privacy Risk Assessment (PRA) program, including making determinations around properly preserving Records of Processing Activities (ROPAs), and assisting with conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA).
  • Work closely with GPO Legal colleagues to ensure they have proper review and line-of-sight into PRAs and other privacy governance initiatives.
  • Consistently manage stakeholder expectations, ensure delivery of the highest quality service, and solicit and act on feedback.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and deliver improvements.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

5 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

Relevant experience includes privacy governance and/or privacy operations management and/ orprivacy legal experience in a global entity

Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communications skills

Demonstrated ability to work with and support cross-functional project teams

Versatility, ability to prioritize and handle a large number of matters, and ability to work effectively on a smallteam with significant workload

Strong people skills with proven ability to build strong working relationships with internal clients at all levels of management and work on cross-functional teams on complex issues

Strong project management and execution

Strong attention to detail and focus on task completion is critical

IAPP Certification such as CIPM or similar

JD, MBA or other graduate level qualifications

Practical experience supporting initiatives involving AI, including Generative AI

The estimated salary range for this positionis $114,400.00 to $ 183,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
