Under the supervision of the Oncology Genetic Counseling team lead and program coordinator the Genetic Counseling Assistant provides support to the Genetic Counselors and referring Physicians. The Oncology Genetic Counseling Assistant performs administrative and basic duties necessary to assist Genetic Counselors in providing counseling and risk assessment for genetic conditions to patients and families. Duties and Responsibilities of this Level: Provide administrative support to genetic counseling staff. This may include:

Maintain work area in clean and orderly condition. Education: Associate's degree required Bachelors with focus on science field preferred Experience Work generally requires six months of experience in the healthcare setting. Education in a health related field can be used as a substitute for the experience.
