Overview We are seeking a skilled Security Technician to support the installation, service, and maintenance of electronic security systems in commercial, residential, and industrial environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician who can work independently, deliver high-quality installations, and provide strong customer-facing support. Responsibilities * Install, service, and troubleshoot: * Access control systems (card readers, door hardware, panels) * CCTV/video surveillance systems (IP and analog cameras) * Intrusion and alarm systems * Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat5/6, coax, etc.) * Install and mount devices including cameras, readers, motion sensors, and control panels * Program and configure security systems as needed * Perform system testing, commissioning, and final customer handoff * Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation drawings * Maintain accurate service documentation and job reports * Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively on job sites * Coordinate with project managers, teams, and other trades to ensure successful project completion Required Skills & Experience * 2-5+ years of experience installing and servicing security systems * Hands-on experience with: * Access control * CCTV/video surveillance * Alarm/intrusion systems * Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills * Ability to work independently in the field * Strong communication and customer service skills Preferred Qualifications * Experience with systems such as Qolsys, DMP, Fire-Lite, Silent Knight * Basic to intermediate networking knowledge (IP addressing, connectivity) * Project coordination or jobsite coordination experience Work Environment * Field-based role working on active job sites * May include commercial buildings, residential properties, and industrial facilities * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or elevated platforms as needed Why Apply * Opportunity to grow with a strong security integrator * Hands-on technical work with modern systems and technology * Career advancement into senior technician or project leadership roles Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of O'Brien, FL.
