About the Department

The Department of Sport Business is housed in the LeBow College of Business, an AACSB-accredited institution at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. LeBow offers doctorate, MBA, and undergraduate degrees. The Department offers a BSBA (undergraduate) major in Sport Business and an MS in Sport Business. The Philadelphia area offers a wide variety of cultural opportunities and a thriving business community.

Job Summary

The adjunct faculty member will employ a variety of strategies to foster student learning and discussion, encourage active learning, maintain course-related records, evaluate student work, and provide feedback regarding progress toward course objectives. Each adjunct faculty member is responsible for effectively teaching students in assigned classroom settings and implementing the mission of the LeBow College of Business. Responsibilities may include teaching days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with the potential for online only, in-person only, or hybrid instruction.

Essential Functions

• Instruct graduate and undergraduate courses in Sport Business.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students regarding career pathways and professional development within the sport industry
• Teach the required number of credit hours per term based on the contract.
• Evaluate student achievement of curricular objectives and learning outcomes.
• Schedule two office hours per week for student availability, if applicable.
• Schedule administrative time for classroom preparation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master's Degree, J.D or Ph.D.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience.

Additional Information
This is a Part-Time Faculty position classified as Exempt. The offered salary is based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
