What You'll Do:
  • Provide test and problem-solving skills required to ensure the production team meets its monthly and weekly shipment goals. Participate in production status meetings to address variances in forecasted shipments or changes to the production teams' goals. Make recommendation to the Test Manager when there are issues regarding test and measurement activities that may affect the team's target goals.
  • Periodically brief the production/test manager and manufacturing engineer on any issues in relation to training, tools, test equipment and documentation, that are affecting sales order completion and compliance. Provide recommendations for corrective action.
  • Participate in the onboarding and training of temporary and permanent technician personnel, when directed by the Test Manager/Production Supervisor.
  • Ensure integration and test processes conform to released documentation. Provide input to Test Manager on production metrics that identify integration and test inefficiencies.
  • Utilize this data and lean manufacturing principles to work with the Test/Production Manager, Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Assurance Manager to increase integration and test throughput and reduce costs.
  • Complete scheduled in-house maintenance checks, calibration and adjustments to equipment when required.
  • Expectations are in depth knowledge in use and calibration of a vast array of RF test equipment (i.e. VNA, spectrum analyzers, power meters, function generators) perform test, troubleshooting and tuning duties of RF, Analog and digital circuits.
  • Use superior experience in RF test and alignment techniques, to test and align RF products, and make ready for weekly and monthly shipments.
  • Assist, mentor and train other technicians when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • May be subjected to work outside at times.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in the integration and test of complex digital/ microwave hardware.
What Sets You Apart:
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • AS degree or military equivalent preferred
  • Ability to lift test equipment and hardware up to 35 lbs.
  • Some domestic travel may be required.
  • In depth knowledge of X, Ku, and Ka band transceivers
  • Experience in manual /tab tuning of RF circuits.
  • Ability to use DMMs, signal generators, VNAs, spectrum analyzers, as well as other RF test equipment.
  • Familiarity and ability to use Microsoft Office tool set
  • Ability to work overtime as business needs require.
  • Fluent in the English language- written and oral
  • Ability to comply with all Company guidelines, policies, procedures and embrace Company Core Values.
Additional Information:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Level Security Clearance upon hire as required
