WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Directly leadlogisticsand warehouse employees involved in inbound receiving, outbound shipping, loading, unloading, staging, and material movement. Responsibilities include training, assigning work, monitoring performance, providing coaching, and conducting performance reviews.

  • Oversee daily loading and dock operations to ensure inbound materials are received accurately and on time, and outbound shipments depart according to schedule, customer requirements, and carrier appointments.

  • Utilize daily management tools-such as process center communication boards or dock activity dashboards-to review staffing, monitor KPIs, communicate priorities, and drive accountability.

  • Serve as a change agent within thelogisticsoperation by identifying process inefficiencies and applying Lean principles to reduce waste, improve flow, and optimize dock utilization.

  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment with a strong focus on hazard prevention, equipment safety, safe forklift operation, and adherence to nVent's safety standards and programs.

  • Review and approve weekly payroll hours for team members, entering exceptions and ensuring accurate labor reporting.

  • Support implementation of new processes, warehouse systems, or layout changes that enhance inbound/outbound accuracy, speed, and efficiency.

  • Lead and participate inlogisticsimprovement initiatives related to dock scheduling, loading quality, carrier performance, and overall warehouse productivity.

YOU HAVE:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.

  • Ideally 3+ years oflogistics, warehouse, or distribution center experience, with preference for candidates who have supervised loading, receiving, or material handling teams.

  • Ideally 2+ years of experience applying Lean concepts within warehouse or supply chain environments, with the ability to identify waste, improve workflow, and standardize processes.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$62,900.00 - $116,900.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
