About the role: CLA is looking to hire a Data Scientist II; This role is responsible for independently executing data analysis, supporting model development, and contributing to internal programs that use statistical, predictive, and automated techniques. This role supports the design of analytical approaches, builds repeatable workflows, and collaborates with crossfunctional partners to advance internal initiatives. As a Data Scientist II, you will: *Take ownership of data preparation, transformation, and exploration activities. *Support automated data collection and processing workflows. *Partner with team members to build simulations, visualizations, and analytical outputs. *Contribute to developing and refining predictive, statistical, and algorithmic models. *Apply a broader set of analytical and machine learning techniques to internal datasets. *Evaluate solution performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend process improvements. *Serve as a primary contributor on internal projects and crossfunctional initiatives. *Support documentation, internal communications, and the development of new programs or tools. *Design and implement model validation approaches, including selection of appropriate performance metrics. *Contribute to model deployment readiness by supporting monitoring, retraining, and performance tracking processes. *Integrate AI/ML models (including generative AI solutions where applicable) into internal workflows through APIs or cloud-based services. *Evaluate AI outputs for quality, bias, and business alignment, recommending adjustments as needed. *Mentor junior team members (e.g., DS I) on analytical methods and best practices. What you will need: *2 years of relevant experience required.
Education Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
