Location: On-Site, Melbourne, FL
Employment Type: Contract to Hire
Industry: Electro-mechanical Manufacturing
Compensation: $25/hr
Schedule: M-F, 8a - 5p
About the Opportunity:
The Supply Chain Associate supports daily supply chain operations by ensuring timely material flow and accurate system updates. This role is responsible for expediting materials with suppliers, placing and managing purchase orders, and maintaining up-to-date material status to support business needs. The Associate will work cross-functionally to resolve supply issues and support operational priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a strong opportunity to learn and grow within the supply chain function, gaining hands-on experience across procurement, materials management, and operations.
What You'll Do:
  • Expedite materials with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve delays
  • Monitor and update material status in internal systems to maintain accurate and current information
  • Create, place, and manage purchase orders in accordance with company processes
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, confirmations, and issues
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, operations, and other teams to support material availability
  • Identify and escalate supply risks or shortages in a timely manner
  • Support day-to-day supply chain operations and respond to urgent requests as needed
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of orders, communications, and status updates
  • Assist with process improvements and general supply chain initiatives as assigned

Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or business
  • 0-2 years full-time work experience required

  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
