Overview William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is currently hiring for a GPS Technician to support our Midwest market, mainly in Illinois. The GPS Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with field operations. The GPS Technician will work directly with Project Managers, Superintendents and Foremen to ensure project models have been setup, reviewed for accuracy and built to the specifications of the team. This position will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and tracking the company's GPS equipment. The GPS Technician will also be responsible for Collecting field measurements and documentation. This is a traveling position, up to 75% of the time, encompassing work sites in the assigned project area and will include some overnight travel. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided. When overnight travel is required, meals and lodging will also be provided. You can be based in any city or state in the United States but the ideal candidate will live in the Midwest region. This is a traveling position encompassing work sites in the Midwest - maily Illinois. We offer designated per diem in addition to base pay to support and help you cover living expenses during the travel rotation. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.
