Grameen University invites applications from exceptional academic leaders to serve as the Founding Treasurer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership in developing and implementing the university's overall financial strategy.
- Preparing, monitoring, and controlling the annual budget in line with the university's strategic goals.
- Ensuring compliance with national and international accounting standards, relevant laws, and university financial policies.
- Overseeing financial planning, resource mobilization, and risk management. Supervising all financial and accounting operations including audits, tax matters, and investment activities.
- Ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficient utilization of university resources.
- Reporting regularly to the Vice Chancellor and the Board of Trustees on the financial status and forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree, preferably a Ph.D. from a globally recognized university, in Accounting, Finance, MBA, or a related business discipline. Candidates with nonbusiness academic backgrounds may be considered if they have any relevant and substantial practical experience in financial management positions.
- Minimum two first divisions/ classes in board/ university examinations of which at least one should be at the undergraduate/Masters level or minimum CGPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) in above-mentioned examinations or equivalent.
- Proven experience in financial management, corporate governance, and administrative responsibilities, particularly in higher education institutions, will be considered an asset.
Experience:
- A minimum of 15 years of teaching experience as a professor in public/private universities or equivalent organizations is required. Relevant financial management experience may be considered within this 15-year period.
