Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP seeks a highly motivated associate to join its Finance, Bankruptcy & Restructuring Practice Group on the Financial Services Team. The position is available in multiple WBD offices with preference for WBD's North Carolina offices, Irvine, Cleveland, Baltimore, and Denver.

Responsibilities:

  • Support a wide range of equipment finance transactions, including drafting and reviewing loan documents, leases, amendments, and ancillary agreements.
  • Assist with local counsel opinions, including reviewing opinion requests, coordinating with referring counsel, drafting local counsel opinions, and ensuring accuracy and consistency across opinion packages.
  • Conduct due diligence, including reviewing organizational documents, and closing checklists.
  • Manage and track transaction details to ensure timely and accurate closings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, referring counsel, and internal team members.
  • Take initiative to anticipate deal needs and provide practical, solution-oriented support throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in equipment finance, assetbased lending, or commercial finance.
  • Strong drafting skills and experience handling multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Selfmotivated, dependable, and comfortable working with a high level of autonomy.
  • Admitted to practice, or eligible for admission, in the jurisdiction corresponding to the office location.

Compensation:

  • $220,000 - $350,000 annually is the estimated salary range for this role. Starting salary will be determined based on location, qualifications, and experience.
