General Summary of Position: The Area Coordinator is a mid-level, live-in professional staff member in the Office of Residence Life who plays a key role in shaping a vibrant, inclusive residential community. This position blends student development, staff leadership, and day-to-day operations to create an environment where students feel connected, supported, and able to thrive. The Area Coordinator oversees a residential community and supervises Graduate Fellows and student staff. Through the implementation of a residential curriculum, this role supports student learning and development while also managing community standards, occupancy processes, and ongoing operational needs. Area Coordinators respond to the evolving needs of their communities and contribute to broader Residential Education initiatives by supporting projects and collaborating with Residential Education leadership. Please note that for this position, the anticipated salary starts at $60,000, based on experience and qualifications.
