Department:ICE | MUSL Physical Therapy-AutumnDepartment's Website: Summary of Job Duties:The position works collaboratively with physical therapists, athletic trainers, physicians, and performance staff to design and implement individualized strength and conditioning programs for athletes and general patient populations. Responsibilities include conducting movement assessments, monitoring training loads, improving athletic performance, supporting rehabilitation progressions, and guiding safe return-to-sport protocols.Responsible for delivering evidence-based training and rehabilitation support to patients and athletes within a therapy and sports performance environment. This role integrates performance coaching, injury prevention, return-to-play programming, and advanced sports technology management to optimize human performance and recovery outcomes. In addition to coaching responsibilities, this role serves as the primary lead for performance technology systems, including force plates, motion capture systems, velocity-based training equipment, wearable technology, and related data platforms. The specialist is responsible for equipment setup, calibration, testing procedures, data collection, analysis, troubleshooting, reporting, and staff education to ensure accurate and meaningful performance metrics are integrated into patient care and athletic development programs. The ideal candidate combines strong coaching ability with technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a data-driven approach to performance and rehabilitation. This role requires the ability to translate complex biomechanical and performance data into actionable insights that improve outcomes for patients, athletes, and the interdisciplinary care team.
