Quality Technician (Contract)

Location: Valencia, CA (Onsite)

Pay: $30.00/hour

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to support product testing, troubleshooting, and quality investigations for returned medical devices. This contract position is ideal for candidates with experience in electrical testing, root cause analysis, laboratory environments, and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities



  • Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis on electrical, electronic, and mechanical medical device components.
  • Conduct testing using laboratory equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, X-ray equipment, and specialized diagnostic tools.
  • Document investigation findings, test results, and conclusions within the Global Complaint Management System (GCMS).
  • Support root cause investigations and identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineers to review and update investigation results.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Assist with product record reviews and post-market quality activities.



Qualifications



  • Associate degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in failure analysis, product testing, troubleshooting, or quality investigations.
  • Experience with laboratory test equipment and electrical diagnostics.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work onsite and travel to the San Diego facility for training or project support as needed.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Medical device industry experience.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, and post-market quality systems.
  • Experience supporting complaint investigations and regulatory compliance activities.
