Overview

What You Will Do

As the Internal Communication Specialist, you will help drive communication, engagement, and organizational alignment across Prime Controls. This role will support internal company messaging, leadership communications, employee engagement initiatives, company events, orientation communications, and overall communication strategy to ensure employees across all offices and projects remain informed, connected, and aligned with company initiatives and culture.

This position will partner closely with executive leadership, operations, HR, recruiting, IT, and other departments to help create clear, consistent, and professional communication throughout the organization.

A Typical Day at Prime Controls

    Draft and distribute internal company communications, announcements, and organizational updates
  • Support executive leadership communication initiatives and company-wide messaging
  • Coordinate and maintain internal communication channels including SharePoint, Teams, newsletters, email campaigns, and digital content
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, company culture programs, and recognition efforts
  • Support orientation and onboarding communication materials and scheduling communications
  • Create and maintain presentation materials, templates, graphics, and communication resources
  • Help standardize communication processes and branding consistency across departments
  • Coordinate communication related to company events, trainings, leadership meetings, and organizational initiatives
  • Assist with communication planning during organizational changes, process rollouts, and company initiatives
  • Gather and organize content from departments, project teams, and leadership for internal distribution
  • Track communication effectiveness and recommend process improvements where appropriate
  • Ensure communications align with company values, culture, and professional standards
  • Occasionally travel to company offices, events, or jobsites as needed

What You Will Bring

The Basic

  • 3+ years of experience in internal communication, corporate communication, employee engagement, marketing communication, HR communication, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent proofreading, editing, and organizational abilities
  • Experience drafting professional communications for varying audiences
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience coordinating communication efforts across multiple departments or teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality while handling sensitive organizational information
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively in a fast-paced team environment

The Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Human Resources, Journalism, Business, or related field
  • Experience supporting communications within construction, industrial, engineering, manufacturing, or technical environments
  • Experience with employee engagement initiatives and organizational communication strategy
  • Familiarity with SharePoint administration or internal content management systems
  • Experience with graphic design tools, presentation design, or communication software platforms
  • Experience supporting executive-level communication initiatives

Work Environment & Physical Demands (Text Only)
