Cruz Associates Inc. of Yorktown, VA has an open position and is looking for qualified candidates for a Fleet Operations Coordinator. The job location is at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, McAlester Oklahoma.

Scope of Performance: The Fleet Operations Coordinator is responsible for the administration, tracking, maintenance, compliance, and operational readiness of government-owned assets, including GSA vehicles, forklifts, and tractor trailers. This position ensures that all assets are properly maintained, inspected, licensed, and available to support organizational operations while complying with applicable federal, state, and company requirements. Technicians will work in all explosive and non-explosive areas as determined by management or COR. Technicians shall be subject to physical examinations and certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations and utilization of GSA vehicles, forklifts, tractor trailers, and other assigned equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records for vehicle registrations, inspections, maintenance schedules, fuel usage, and operator qualifications.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and service activities with internal personnel and external vendors.
  • Monitor fleet performance, equipment condition, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with GSA policies, DOT regulations, OSHA requirements, and company procedures.
  • Track vehicle assignments, usage, mileage, and asset inventories.
  • Coordinate annual inspections, emissions testing, licensing, and certification requirements.
  • Manage forklift inspection programs and ensure operator certifications remain current.
  • Coordinate tractor trailer maintenance, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Investigate vehicle and equipment incidents and assist with corrective actions and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain reports on fleet utilization, maintenance costs, and equipment availability.
  • Recommend replacement schedules and equipment acquisitions based on operational needs and lifecycle management.

Education and Experience - Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience managing vehicle fleets, material handling equipment, or transportation operations.
  • Knowledge of GSA fleet management procedures and federal vehicle requirements preferred.
  • Familiarity with DOT, OSHA, and vehicle safety regulations.
  • Experience with fleet management software, maintenance tracking systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to gain/maintain Secret Clearance
  • Ability to pass Explosives Handler physical and Respirator Fit test
  • Ability to pass Ammo-18 Certification class
  • Sufficient knowledge of mathematics
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75lbs)
